Is copper a conductor or an insulator? wood? distilled water?

copper is a conducter as we use it in most electrical equipment? wood is an insulator to a degree unless it has been waterlogged, then it acts as a conductor, until it dries out, after that it would catch fire, distilled water is a conductor of electricity as it is put into batteries to help produce the power to make a battery work.
