Is there any scenario in which jumping in front of a train would be a useful sacrifice?

In "Grenade" by Bruno Mars, the singer says he'll "jump in front of a train for ya." Does anyone have a possible scenario in which jumping in front of a train might actually save someone else's life? I can't think of one.
