My best friend's cat died. She was run over by a car. How can I help her?

It is o.k., but you may want to have her give the adult cat time to adjust, because it may take a lot of time for the adult cat, i had 2 older cats that ran outside and wouldn't come back because i rescued a mama cat and her kittens, They still don't come in all the time.
