School Uniforms for girls only?

So my highschool started a school uniform this year and only the girls have to wear them. They said that most of the girls, not me, were dressing too provacitavley and showing their thongs and too y for school. So the school gave us a uniform consisting of a grey pleated skirt, white shirt, knee socks and sandle shoes. To make it worse we have regulation panties too. They are white cotton brief ones. Anyway that's not so bad but it gets worse. In the morning before going in homeroom they have random pantie checks. That's right. Usually just a couple times a week a female(thankfully) teacher or staff member stands outside the door and you have to stop and pull up your skirt to make sure you're wearing the correct panties and not thongs. I mean yeah they have a female teacher doing it but any boy walking in the hallway can cleary see you. It's kind of embarring. Anyway my mom said she fully supports it and said it's about time they did something about the way we dressed and I should stop complaing. She said if I'm wearing the appropriate panties than I shouldn't have anything to complain about. Is this fair? Any other school have uniforms for girls only or pantie checks?
